The two bought the beach hostel on the west coast of Sumba, a remote Indonesian Island, from a New Jersey couple and renovated it turning it into a luxurious five-star beach resort in 2015. The Resort has 27 private villas each with separate plunge pools. The “Raja Mendaka” is Chris Burch’s private home having the main house and four additional villas with views over Nidhi Beach and across the Indian Ocean as well as a large outdoor entertaining area.
